The Vase
A child sits up in bed
she reaches over to ledge by her head
she turns on a lamp thats next to a vase
A vase thats empty with a blue bird on it's base
The child sighs whispers a name
that belongs the ower of the vase
the vase that brought the ower fame
next to the vase is a letter in a case
A letter that said This is for you, wait alitle longer don't be bad.
and have a very happy brithday from your funny looking dad
She didn't want the vase,
or money that came with his fame
she din't want the glass case,
she wanted him she thought
softly cring and saying his name
