two ladies in a room
There are two ladies in a room.
The room has dark, pale walls.
Both ladies dressed fancy,
one unsure what to do.
While staring down low
at someone she knows
Not smiling, not frowning,
holding an old, fragile hand.
With dark, low eyes,
she looks depressed thinking
about what to do next.
The room they are in appears
to be a nursing home.
The dark, pale, purple walls
stand behind them.
The lady laying down low
with a fancy, lace gown,
you cannot see her face,
may never go home because
she is already gone.
With an oxygen pump on ones chest
and the other thinking what to do next.
