Raised on fiction and fantasy
Maybe that’s why
I believe the real world to be 
So dull

Where I learned
That everyone is brilliant
In their own weird way

I live in a generation
Raised by the internet
And while adults found it strange that
Instead of making friends in the real world
I made them online

I live in a generation
Where teenagers are ridiculed
Where children are parent less
And there is room full of
Old, white, straight, cis, men
Who can take away the rights away
From those who disagree with them
And I hope this generation
Will be the one to stop it.
