Poem 1~ I Come From
I come from the widespread fields where the deer lay,
and where fun is everywhere.
I come from the spacious yard and ponds filled with fish.
I come from the country where there is endless joy and laughter,
to the sadness of a loss.
I come from the parents who care,
and long walks on the train tracks.
I come from the homemade food, delicious and hot,
to the never ending parties.
I come from the love of animals and neighbors,
to my friends across the road. I come from the allnighters and tiresome mornings
I come from a family.
Not just a family.
A family who cares.
