My Love
He is at work late
My lover
Our dinner is getting cold
But I know when he gets home..
I will be greeted with a smile and a hug
After dinner we lay in bed
His smooth dark skin against mine My pale skin glowing like the moon
Sweat shimmering on our bodies
I wish I didn't have to leave him
I wish I had the guts to tell him this was the last time
He kisses me gently
My heart breaks
"This is the last time"
"I love you"
"I wish I could stay by your side"
The words tremble on my lips
But all I can do is cling to him
Tears fall to the sheets
He asks what is wrong
I just cling tighter
Stroking my hair like he knows relaxes me
Whispering sweet nothings in my ear
I kiss his lips
He is asleep
I feel the presence
He is here
He is taking me away from my love
He says it's time
Looking at my life in bed I take his hand
Death is painless
Only if you're heartless
