Missing Brothers
I miss being a little kid
Always having your big brothers to play with you
Thinking everything is oh so funny, never being able to stop laughing
Always small enough to be hugged and lifted
Small enough to hide in keyboard boxes
Until all of a sudden you're grown
And brothers don't come home
Preoccupied with wife and girlfriend, too busy to
Spend any time with you
Too busy for piggy back rides and walks in the park
Then, you drop down from a seven to a seventy-six
On their scale of importance
Which completely explains why you feel so all alone
Unprotected, like they dropped this job and started
Their own business, leaving you out
And that is what missing brothers is all about
