I am Not Sleeping
My head is pressed against
The cool wood
Of the school desk
My arm is covering my face
I am not sleeping
I am working
On my school work
Just with face
Really close to the paper
I guess
I must look like
I am sleeping
And that is why
The teacher approaches me
And shakes my shoulder
And asks me how I am
I will say I am fine
She will ask me if I am tired
I will say no
She will give me a look
As if to say
Then why are you sleeping
And then walk away
To continue her lecture
As if she had never left it
But even when she leaves
I will put my head back down
And continue to work
On my school work
Even if
I look like
I am sleeping
I wrote this becuse i work with my face really really close to the paper. I often get teachers and students shaking my shoulders like I need to wake up. But I am infact not sleeping,
