Heartbeat
I am sleepless
In one fervent moment,
Quick and fleeting,
Your tears sing to
My heart, and I spin
And dance
And cry
And think about
Evenings past
And wayward dreams
The stars whisper
Your name-
They spit mine out
Like sour milk
I have shot these
Years without hope
I have shed these
Tears all alone,
In my bed,
Sleeping deftly
In the broken
Air
In my broken
Room
