Siren
I get tears in my eyes when I feel his power,
I get a little warm in my heart when I feel his love.
He showed me the mistakes I made when things got sour,
Open your heart and I’ll send my dove.
I heard a siren yelling out loud.
He took my hand “now make me proud.”
He gave me a gift that seemed strange
A writing pen
Now make a change
It took some time to understand
To use my art like I planed
And just like that I took a stand
Guided by a loving hand

I wrote this when I was going through the struggle of growing up and becoming an adult. It took me months to finish but I remember writing the first few lines over and over in my journal just trying to write something beautiful for myself. I wrote even when I didnt want to becuase I knew that it would help me, and it did with time.
