Beautiful Tragedies
Like a perfect white rose wilted and dead,
A dark mud stain on an ivory-satin dress.
Why is beauty flawed?
You and me…
We’ve got chips and breaks.
Some of them we put there,
Others were given to us.
But we’re still you and me…
Stronger now than ever before.
Weaker now than we ever have been.
We push through life,
And it isn’t easy.
It’s like a refiner’s fire.
We’re ever-changing,
Always growing.
We are flawed.
We are perfect.
You and me and our beautiful tragedies.
