Painful to Put on Page
And it was painful to put on the page,
So I didn’t write at all.
Anger was not rage;
Yet the hate would not fall….
Regrets festered inside
And embarrassment kept crawling by.
This is why I cannot tell it now –
A fable where lesson is lie.
How do I tell the story where I’m the monster hoarding pity for a high?
I want strength from pen,
But my written word will not crush,
Like I wish,
The ignorance of men.
Of endings I’ve tried to think to write –
I cannot bear to birth the ending I know right.
So
I dare
Not
At all….
