breathing in the shallow air
should I stay or should I go?
a question of intense power
that eats me from the inside out
too many memories to leave behind
yet, too much pain to keep moving on;
a life destined to be puzzling
as the clock ticks upon loneliness
oh, should I stay or should I go?
the answer will never quite be known
yet, when my battered body is seen
laying in the casket of broken dreams
you'll know my chosen path;
you'll know.
