I find home between the crook in your shoulder and the twinkle in your eye.

There is a sparkle in the way you hold out your hand and I take it,
wondering if my heart is beating louder than the roar of your motorcycle as we drive along a rose to ever after.

There’s a fuzzy afterglow in your smile and your low voice walks footprints on the moon surface of my heart.

Liquid gold runs through our veins; there’s alchemy in your fingertips, and
oh, how you make me

when you pull my in with crimson destiny threads and summery promises of forever
that won’t freeze in the winter,
because even when the snowflakes are tumbling from the midnight sky
I’ll still be wrapped up in your arms,
hearing summery promises whispered in one ear
and the roar of your motorcycle driving towards forever in the other.
