Give or Take Six Months

My chest strains for air.
The world is dark and I stare into nothing.
I don’t know what to think
on this bed that will strangle me.
Oh well, who cares about me.
In another six months or so
I will be unknown, except for the people
who have grown accustomed to me.
They will know I am gone
and they will try there best
to move on and they will most likely
succeed in forgetting my sorrowful soul
