Narcissus, your arrogance
Won’t make me your girl.
If anything, it hinders me,
From growing to like you at all.
Your brown eyes and curly hair
Don’t make me want to stare.
Your chocolate voice and bright skin
Do not make me want to sin,
To cash in for you.
I don’t like you
But you like me don’t you?
Because I’m the only girl who doesn’t stutter.
Those butterflies no longer flutter,
They died a long time ago today.
My heart doesn’t dare beat faster,
And there is no pitter patter
Of teardrops on the pavement.
I’ve already made my payment
To the gods of love and disasters.
This is the end of a nonexistent relationship.
We can’t even be friends,
Not when there’s no reasoning with how you think.
It all started with a wink,
And now we’re standing on the edge of a precipice.
Do you understand this?
I don’t like you… yet…
But you like me don’t you?
Because I’m the only girl who fights you.
I go against your every thought.

I'm sure every girl has met that guy who thinks he is God's gift to humanity. I can't count on my fingers and toes how many times i've heard him say "I can have any girl I want, and you should feel lucky that I want you." I felt that I should let this particular guy know that he can't actually have any girl he wants, because even with the little part of me that likes him, there's a really big part that doeesn't. Here's for telling them they're not that important.
