Beauty of the Night
The beauty of the moon,
Makes me think,
things will be lovely soon,
things will be here in a blink,
No storm will flow in the waters of light,
No fire will heat the flames of war,
no poison will touch mankind's tongue for blight,
no one will count for a score,
Let the rivers flow for just one night,
Let the sun stay down tonight,
let things be just right,
let the wind take me up to the sky for flight,
And when the night is still,
All turns bliss,
but we've not had our fill,
only until the night sealed with moonlit kiss,
All that is us is these golden streams,
These sliver waters that glow,
it's the moon in our eyes that gleams,
and we are washed as the night grows,
If only we could all see the starlight,
Leading to all this light shine,
wishing that we could have this starsight,
but it's all simple to find,
It seems to be all around,
And we seem so lost,
we don't realize that we were just found,
it was the night that was our cost.

There was a special person that gave me the eyes to see this poem, but it was a song that gave me the light to write it. I hope people will see it as a piece that will make them have more hope when at night, wandering these pastures that are their minds.
