Sunsets
Every evening the sky begins to darken,
and in my head I begin to harken.
To back in the day, when I was just a child,
the dimming sun signaling us to be more mild
and to come in for the night.
The sky would turn from purples to pinks, quite the delight.
Then the dusk slowly fades from purple to blue.
The day was over, that's all that we knew.
