Bigger than Me

I have some strange reassurance with the sky,
looking up at its vastness
I allow myself to feel grounded.
I’m not scared here
because the stars are so much prettier surrounded by darkness.
My eyes will adjust.
So let me stay here.
Finally there’s nothing for me to worry or fear.
For I am smaller than I think I am
and the universe bigger.
