Contradictions
I am humble.
I am meek.
I am strong yet, I am weak.
As I stand fierce and tall hides another girl
shy and small.
With thoughts so loud why does she stumble on her speech?
Maybe her dreams are too far to reach.
Maybe she just can’t fall asleep.
As I lay, pretend to pray, that she may fall asleep someday.
I look myself in the eyes wondering why she ceases to try.
Why do I hide behind my contradictions lie?
