As I patiently wait for summer
I’m already planning, so I know it can’t be a bummer
Only a couple more weeks left of school
And then I can finally take a dip in my pool
It’s going to be the best, unlike the rest
I just have to make sure I pass the test
Fighting terrorism in a far away land
Leaving behind the ones they love
They are doing their duty for their beloved home land
Seeking cover of God above
A soldiers’ life is not for all
Nor big or small, all that matters is giving your all
Wherever there is trouble or the first sign
He must be ready to go at any time
We all have our own love
Yours may be different from another
One may be a love of doves, or even soaring high above
But, in the end we are no different, we are each other’s brothers
