This is the place
something witty is said,
something beautiful is noticed,
a lesson is echoed.
A revelation escapes
sometimes,
though--
a pipe is just a pipe,
a cigar is just a cigar.
sometimes
glass just shatters,
a bird
flies out the window--
only to grace
the cover of a book
(later on).
Short,
Elaborated;
simple.
Maybe that's
the best lesson--
maybe
it's just a bird
but most times it's not.
Too bad.
Hey look--
it’s just words.
