Secret Wish
Silent tears
as she strains to hear
The words that are flying
and her mothers merciful crying.
Memoreies drift back
of her brightest smiles
and the families gentle whiles,
When slaying dragons together
wasn't slaying each other as dragons.
When being cowboys with toy guns
was protecting each other and having fun.
With his screaming in the crossfire
Daddy storms out the door and I see him no more.
I wish all teh fights were just a game
and would end without any pain.
No more bang bang slipping off you tounge.
Then we all could but down our weapons
And be the perfect family we once were.
