His gentle hands
Braided my hair
When I was
To young and insisted.
His gentle hands
Hugged me tight
When I was afraid
Of the night.
His gentle hands
Picked me up
When I fell
off my bike and cried.
His gentle hands
Wiped away my tears
When I was sad
That grandma died.
His gentle hands
Soon became fist
And hurt the people
I love.
His not so gentle hands
Hurt my brother
Whom I loved very much.
His not so gentle hands
Hurt my mother
At that point
I was crushed
I was the youngest
Whom every tried to hide
For his gentle hands
Where everyone’s fear
His gentle hands
Started to shake
Because of the
Drug intake
His use to be gentle hands
Struck me too
That is when
I lost the father
I knew
