Run Now or Forever Hold Your Misery
Run like you’re running away from everything he made you feel.
Run like you’re running away from everything he ever said to you.
Run to replace the pain in your chest with pain in your legs.
Run to feel something stronger than him.
Run to the point of tears: not from him but from exhaustion.
Run like he’s standing at your door wanting you back.
Run to avoid the suffering he would cause you if you let him back in.
Run to reinstate the feeling of something else flowing through your veins.
Run like you’re running your body out of his pain and into recovery.
Run because if you don’t run now you won’t have the will to run later.
