L.O.V.E Label
L, just the beginning.
Not knowing what to do
Stumbling,
Trying,
To understand what this new feeling is
Heart is hammering
Against its steel cage
Wanting to be set free
To fly,
Without being told
It can’t
O, the mistakes
The mixups
The screw ups
Like driving a car
The first time,
Are you going to hit a tree?
Or are you just imagining it?
Did you press the pedal
A little too far?
You speed down the road
Without thinking
When suddenly
It all comes to a hault.
Should you be scared of that car.
Will it take your very life away
V, when all hope is gone.
Life is down
The mind is broken.
Will you not find the one?
Still young
But out of hope.
Given up on meeting that feeling again
But that is when hope is needed most
To pick yourself up.
Relying on the ones that love you
To carry you through the worst times.
E, the person of Everyone’s dreams
Beautiful face
Stunning features
Amazing personality.
The one that parents are proud
To call their own
The man with the perfect mask
To draw others in.
But
The mask begins to crack
When they’re alone.
Stressful nights show through
Shedding light on a man who drinks
A “little” too much.
Like a rubberband
Held at both ends
By two people,
When one leaves
Or pulls just a little too hard
The band snaps back
Hurting the other.
You, the not so perfect…
Perfect person
The one,
That makes life feel complete.
The one,
Parents will never approve of.
The ugly duckling that
Nobody liked
Our feathers just needed
To be preened
And the wind to spread those wings and fly.
Without being told
We can’t
