“A good novel tells us the truth about its hero; but a bad novel tells us the truth about its author.”
G.K. Chesterton

"And you, you ridiculous people, you expect me to help you."
Denis Johnson

A tattered rope
Left dangling before me
Questioning my next decision
Will I use my lifeline?
Or will I be like society
And ignore you?
Will I even be able
To make a difference?
I’m nothing compared to
Those that people actually look up to..
However, I hear you.
I hear you tenderly
Whispering within my ear
So strongly that it makes
Even my temple tremble.
You’re telling me that I’m
Important
Loved
Smart
Beautiful.
Anything a Father could wish for…
The steady treble of your voice
Rings constant in my eardrum;
Drowning out the sounds
Of the world.
“You don’t realize
What a difference
You’ve made in the lives of your friends.
You don’t realize how you were able
To save a life
And lead one to Me…
You don’t realize…”
Hums the steady roar to the lullaby of love.
