Ambrosia
The thick, sweet nectar flows from their lips
With eyes lifted, questioning the sky
Darkness enveloping the desert
They create light and rain
Buzzing hums in their throats
Hydration flows from those eyes
Still searching
Even in the dark
They paint their faces and adorn their chests
Singing and dancing through the eclipse
To one universal beat
Pumping against their breasts
Outcasts, Savages, Madmen; They are one
Nameless the poets stand
With hearts pumping reminding them they are alive
And that thick, sweet blood flowing
Questioning if they are human
