Under the Mask
As the light fades, darkness falls.
As the mask is donned, humanity is lost.
The face under the mask, is it the true one?
Is it truely worth fitting in if you lose yourself in the process?
The friends, hobbies, and even your mind could be lost without knowing it.
The right thing... does it mean doing the wrong thing?
Does it make people happy? Is it really the right thing?
Your friends, what kind of people are they?
Do they deserve your trust?
Do they truly make YOU happy?
Do they consider you THEIR friend?
What makes your life worth living?
Does it make you happy, or your friends happy?
No, truly think about it.
Think about the kind of person you are. Is it the same person?
The mask you wear to fit in... does it ever come off, or is it beyond repair?
Can your inner self be recovered, or are they lost to the darkness never to return?
If not careful, you could be lost to the inner darkness.
To live without purpose... is it a life worth living?
Does your life revolve around THE MASK? Think about it...

I was just writing in my english journal, when i started thinking about who I am now. I shook it off, then it returned with who my friends might truly be. I started writing it down and my mom said that it was good poetry. I hope you honestly take time to read it, contemplate on it, then comment on what you found out about my work.
