But I Saw
It was there
But no one saw
In the corner in the dark
So light, so raw
Explosion of color
Red and death
Crumbling, falling
I held my breath
An outcast, a stray
That’s all it was
But within just a flicker
All emotions were lost
Replaced by a mask of damage
Damage so great
No one saw
