Feels
So this is what it feels like
like darkness has surrounded you
you’re confused because you don’t know what’s going on
Alone with your thoughts
headaches and fuzzy vision
yet you feel so alive
you know that you’ll wake up soon
and the truth will reveal itself
burns will cover your wrists
and tears will stream down your face
not from the pain of your burns
but from the pain of the past and of remembering
you’ll be alone in the morning
accompanied by once again only your thoughts
no one to talk to or explain yourself to
then you’ll realize that this is what it feels like
what it feels like to be alone.
