The Meaning of Beauty
It's more than just sound,
Not merely white noise in the background,
A distraction from the real world,
Or a way for us to rebel.
They're more than just words,
Flying off a page with a thousand
Glittering wings showering sparks.
It's never really been an escape,
We're still here, still fighting, still trying
To survive a place that doesn't want us.
We're more than silly teenagers.
We're more than a generation of degenerates.
We are the evolved, the Apex predator.
We are fully capable, not one of us an invalid.
A family millions strong.
A Clan, a Pack, a Group,
A Flock, a Litter, a Coven.
We are of one body with many, many minds.
Schizophrenia to the max.
But we hear more than just sounds,
Mere words on a page.
We hear life, and freedom.
We hear our hearts beating out of our chests.
We hear the truth, and we know...
I know...
What it is to be truly beautiful.
