Distractions I Want To Keep
That tiring moment
When I am doing homework
And my warm, fuzzy friend.
Comes bounding at me saying
Take me out?
Take me out?
So reluctantly
I get up
Once walking in
From the winter wonderland.
I try to go back to work
When my other four legged friend
Revs his motor as he
Thinks my homework is
His Kingdom
To pounce anything he wants
So I finish it later?
When my mind
Is done for the day
I greet my loving distractions when
They come to take over
My pillows.
