Long Player MAG
I laid some
vinyl
onto the vintage
turntable
– with spinning thoughts aboard my
old-fashioned mind –
then I
soared off toward
my imagination
dreaming
of escape
someplace distant,
someplace – wonderful –
but I continue
to return
longing to be
remembered as some
flawless melody –
where the crackle
of my appearance
sends him into
oblivion just like
the pop of a record
launches me
toward Nirvana
– it actually smells like teen spirit –
when the needle
stops dragging
my mind
loses its thought
and
fades to black
