Loved One
A river of life flows to no end
Over the falls and into the stream
The joy of knowing this is for me
I sit on the bank and see the sea sigh
I would let out a tear but I’m too happy to cry
The dust in the air causes my vision to blur
I reach for the water
But it is you that I hold
A smile slides in and the eyes begin again
A single tear in life’s oceans
A potion, a puzzle, a riddle, a rhyme
My feet in the sand
My heart in my hand
Reflecting back on my life again
The pain causes ripples
Like a rock in the rives flow
The heart stopping moments over the falls I go
Alive and aware I’m happy I’m here
To laugh and to love I now can see clear
Clear as the sky, blue as the sea
Emotions
Like waves they crash then recede
The power of nature and beauty to match
I stay on my side while I tend to my raft
I see you outside
A crossed the bank
I blow you a kiss
But currents won’t change
We build and we craft to finish our raft
To meet in the middle of the river at last
