A New World
I stepped into a
Different world, when
I crossed the bridge
From suburban to city life.
As I walked through
The maze of streets,
I fell in love.
The smells of all
Different foods surrounded me.
The sounds of
Laughter and talking filled the air.
The crisp winter
Air tinkled my face.
But just when my love
Was growing stronger for the city,
Everything stopped.
I no longer felt the
Excitement of the city.
All I could hear was
My beating heart.
And I could see
The bad situations and strange people
I may come face to face with.
As I stepped into this different world
