Unfold
Only to slip away with the wind
Leaving behind a skeleton
That mourns for what it once held
So there it stands

This was my first piece in my English class this year (10th grade). We were doing little drafts of poems to see how we put descriptive words/phrases together. We were given the prompt "An Abandoned House" but nothing more than that. I was asked if I related to the way I wrote my poem and I answered no, but truthfully, I do.
