Apparition
Souls all around
Yet the bodies are in the ground
All you hear is silence
But there was much violence
The people would chant and sing
Praying to the Eagle’s right wing.
The children would play
No one knew their home would be taken away
The strangers faces were like snow
In the light their skin would glow
They looked at the land
And they believe it was theirs to command
Rifles were shot
People were distraught
Many fled
But some were left for dead
Those who were left behind
Are still here to remind
Us of the blood shed and tears
By chanting in your ears
They can cause you a fright
When you see them at night
Wandering the land
Where they once would stand
Souls all around
Yet the bodies are in the ground
All you hear is silence
But there was much violence
