My Best Friend
So many memories, so little time
how I wish to stop the clock
The old house
and long summer nights
The sits on the roof
along with the Bo-at
The walks to the store
with various puddle jumping
The endless fights
over stupid boys
The Music and Movies nights
and multiple energy drinks
The nicknames
and many pranks
The blaring music
on nights alone
The songs and bands
with many genres
The frosting facials
followed by fully clothed baths
The childish shows
with multiple foods consumed
The way we scream color
at the crack of dawn
The shopping malls
all alone with no supervision
The fancy dresses
and ugly shirts
The oh so many times people ask
“Are you two sisters?”
The movies we’ve seen
and awkward car rides
The time we laugh
when absolutely nothing happened
The shared friends
and hated friends
That’s why I chose you
to be my best friend
The very few fight
we get through them all
That’s what friends are for
sticking by your side
through thick and through thin
