Novels
You cannot save everyone, So save yourself.
Close that chapter, that book: Back on the shelf.
I cannot chose which story you tell,
But none end the same: Yours is going to hell.
Logic and reason, or heart and soul?
Without all four, you're never whole.
The new book won't be written without a pen.
Pick it up; Don't make the same mistakes again.
You could choose the unknown: Take a little pain,
and follow your smile, change your lane.
Take the path less travelled, or press repeat.
You'll either claim love, or defeat.
I cannot save everyone, but I can save myself.
You can close that book, put it on the shelf.
You can make her a memory that won't hurt you anymore.
We can make new memories, ones you'll adore--
or you can play the game: repeat the track,
but once I'm gone, I'm not coming back.
