Cereal Woes

I really wish I could love you.
And be like those families on the cereal boxes and commercials
where you’d toss me a ball and I’d hit it and it didn’t matter if I totally whiffed it or let it fly right by me,
because you’d hug me all the same and we’d laugh and eat whatever cereal perfect families ate.
