Jim's Last Gin

Death sat down, bought a bottle o’ gin
Said “Ya got a nice ice filled shot glass for me Jim?”
“Ya know Death I do, how’s work? Gettin’ through?”
“Well,” Death said as he took a quick sip “nobody ever seems to tip.”
“I know the feeling, my foolproof friend. Tell me, how’re
things up around the bend?”
“The days drag on and on, immortality’s hell. No woman says goodnight, no child wishes me well.”
Death stared at Jim with sad depressed eyes, but a cynical smile killed the surprise
Jim chuckled and said “Just let me say my goodbyes.”
