Building Trust With Your Companion
10 o’clock on Christmas Eve
The snow is softly falling
It’s cold and wet outside
Walking up and down the street
I walk inside and my dog
Looks at me like she wants something
I ask her if she wants to go for a walk
And she gets up and heads for the door
We walk around the block and
See Christmas lights twinkling
In the night how we stare
Into them and picture the morn to come
