The Gift of Love
From the moment I say
your sweet eyes,
I knew I was going
to love you.
I even loved your sharp
teeth and claws that
bit and clawed
all over me.
You would be my
model for my
photography with
your adorable face.
Coming home to you
greeting me and licking
me made all my
worries fly away.
I was your mother
and you taught me
the love a child can
bring to a mother.
I will never forget how
mischevious you
were but also how
sweet you were.
You brought a smile
to everyone's face
every time they saw
your sweet face.
I will miss playing
tug-of-war and
getting you
to chase me around.
I will miss the crazy
things you did and
your sweet and
happy personality.
My house will never
have the light you
brought into it
ever again.
But I will one day find
another great pitbull
like you and think of
the times with you.
I will always remember
our cuddles and you
will be in my
heart for eternity.
I hope have plenty
of grass to romp
around in up
in Heaven.
And plenty of
friends to play
and run
around with.
Lacee, you taught
me to never give up
and to always keep
fighting.
You will always be in my heart
Lacee May Rosso
Rest in peace
