The Season of Falling
The earth tilts, slowly, slowly,
And the air is chilled.
Trees falling deeply, deeply,
Into their hibernation.
People breathing in, then sighing,
Little lingering clouds gathering above.
Geese crying, saying,
“Too cold, too cold.”
A small child watches, thinking:
“Autumn is the season of falling.
That’s why they call it fall.”
