Let me be a cartographer
for just our equinox
mapping out meridians,
constellations trapped
between your collar bone
and the daytime moon;
feel well-loved drums
beat holes within your chest,
ribs a marble staircase
and set me down in the green-blue glare
of a million miles to shore-
let me be your north star.
