My Dying Wrods
Dying isn't what you
expect at all.
Especially when taking your final breaths.
The beeping of the monitor
slowly becoming steady.
What holds you on
when death is right around the corner?
We all have two choices.
To hold onto this life
or to give it up.
The side that wants to rise to Anthems
or the side that will kidnap your last breath.
The tears at my bed side.
The priest reading his final verse.
The petals of the roses slowly falling to the ground
one by one.
The stacks of cards from the holidays
piling by my bedside.
Can I find the courage to stay?
I know I can.
I just have to remember it is my choice.
These are my dying words.
The words I’ll think when I'm about to lose all that I have.
