A Window
You look through a window,
Its an ever-changing portal to another world,
Or is the windowpane a mirror,
A place to reflect on yourself, your past and your future?
Peek outside...
What do you see?
An world of opportunity,
Or a million chances to run away?
Outside,
Can you leave your mark?
A lasting impression,
On the world itself.
Do you see kind faces,
Passing right by?
Or are they ones of stoicism,
Not bothering to take any mind.
Are you going to seize the moment,
Are you going take a risk,
Make the moment yours,
` And control your life today.
Will you tell them why you’re going,
And explain why you do not stay,
They don’t need an explanation,
Just go and you won’t regret it.
Now you’re jumping through the window,
Escaping the prison of your house,
` You left me behind back here,
And now I watch you.
I look through a window,
Its an ever-changing portal to another world,
Or is the windowpane a mirror,
A place to reflect on myself, my past and my future?
