Lurking Shadows
The sun was extinct for the night,
For there was no light in sight.
And the howling of the wind
Painted dark and putrid pictures in my mind.
They're coming! I can almost feel them!
Whispering around the plant stem,
like a slowly creeping ghost.
Did I say I would host?
I begged them not to take me,
yet they did not agree.
BOOM! POW! SLAM!
I sliced them like ham!
Take your clothing sack
And never come back!
