Expect imperfection,
And then shockingly,
there comes a battering of beautiful flaws
Into the open holes of your meticulous soul,
like leathery gray mortar plugging
up the cracks of century-old stones
—finally vacant of sheen—
leaving an immovable iron-hard block.
Strong.
