I know who I am,

where I came from.

I know I'm not perfect,

and that's okay.

Life's not always easy,

it'll knock you down.

But the key to life,

what it means

to truly live,

is this:

Look up.

When you're down in the dirt,

Look up.

Find the strength

to follow your gaze.

When life's darker than night,

Look up.

Find the hope

that there's light up there.

When people are unkind,

Look up.

Find the courage

to pass them by.

Whenever life gets tough,

Look up.

Try to remember

the One who lives up there.

The author's comments:

I know that when life gets rough, all we have to do is look up and remember that God is up there, looking down on us, ready to help. He will always pull you through.

You are an amazing writer, authoress17, and don't ever forget that :) There will be people out there who might make you feel like your writing is inadequate, but just remember one thing: YOU are the only one who can write the way you write. Everyone has a different style and approach when writing, and no one has the same perspective on life. There is no such thing as one poem or writer being better than another, there are only differences and perspectives. It's all about how you look at things :)

Aww thanks. Your so kind, but I'm not half the writer you are. You are amazing and your poems are always so unique. :)

Wow! Amazing work. It makes me think of all those times I have been lost and only felt loneliness, but God helped me through. This is very inspirational. I am so glad you posted this. Your an incredible writer!

Sometimes thwe only thing we cna do is look up, and wait out the storm. I love the way you speak through this, as if you want the reader to know that all they have to do is look up and they'll be alright. It was very hopeful and inspirational, which is simply amazing. Great job with the flw and voice, it truly was astounding :)
